Position Overview: 

We seek a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. The Occupational Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to provide rehabilitative services to our residents. This role is crucial in helping individuals maintain or regain their independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by licensed occupational therapists.
• Provide hands-on assistance and guidance to residents during therapeutic activities and exercises.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess residents’ needs and progress.
• Document and maintain accurate records of residents’ therapy sessions and progress.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members regarding therapy goals and progress.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in assisted living or long-term care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
