Mary Health of the Sick Skilled Nursing Facility Specialization: Geriatrics
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our experienced physical therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for our senior residents.
- Provide hands-on assistance and guidance to patients during therapy sessions, focusing on improving strength, mobility, and overall function.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to provide comprehensive care for our residents.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to promote continued improvement and prevent future injuries.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Experience working with geriatric populations preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
